Author and artist Jennifer Price Davis will be at Hollie’s Homegrown reading her latest children’s book Do Not Say “Fart,” a fun book that encourages laughter, thinking about how we consider others, and includes a teeny tiny bit of digestive science in the mix! This event includes a fun creative art project led by Jennifer and some delicious healthy treats from Hollie’s.
With a background in elementary education and art therapy, Jennifer has a beautiful and joyful way with kids. Originally from Cleveland Ohio, she loves using art and words to create worlds to express what’s inside and to connect with others. Her work centers Black women and girls, social justice, nature, joy, self-expression and healing art experiences.
Jennifer is visiting the Bay Area for just a few days on her national book tour, and so we’re super excited to host her!! Jennifer recently proposed making a national holiday called “10,000 Giggles Day”. She hopes it becomes a recognized holiday, since we all are in need of more joy and laughter.
